canal47 Pontcysyllte Aqueduct
While there is a towpath with a guard rail on one side, on the other side it is straight down 126 feet to the valley floor. The only thing separating the narrowboat from a drop to the valley below is a narrow cast iron trough. I didn't get any photos of the aqueduct from below, so here's a link to another web site for you to see what it looks like from another perspective.
