DAY 3: WEDNESDAY, JUNE 22, 2005
(Cropredy to Aynho Wharf)

This is the famous Banbury Cross. The fame stems from the nursery rhyme that goes: "Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross to see a fine lady upon a white horse. With rings on her fingers and bells on her toes, she shall have music wherever she goes." Frankly, getting any closer to the cross required walking across the busy roundabout. We got this picture from across the street.
