Right after going through Enslow, Baker's Lock takes you onto the River Cherwell. This would be our first river cruising experience. While the level of water in the canals can be more easily controlled, rivers can rise and fall with greater fluctuations. So, it's a good idea to heed the warnings as you're about to get on the river.
