Castle Gardens Day 7: Friday, June 27, 2003 Mary Ellen pauses for a photo at the gardens around Chirk Castle. This was on Friday, the day before the end or our canal adventure. We ended the trip in the Chirk area to make it easy to return our boat by 9 a.m. on Saturday morning at Chirk Marina. We moored on Friday night not far from this sight, at the upwater end of the Chirk Tunnel. It was from this mooring spot that we walked up to the castle. |
