(Tackley Area to Oxford)
Our chosen mooring in Oxford was immediately across the canal from St. Barnabas Church and a working boatyard. This spot is in the Jericho neighborhood of Oxford between bridges 242 and Louse Lock. We had heard it could be crowded here, but there was plenty of space. I wondered if security was a concern for other boaters. We saw a greater number of boats moored farther out in the more upscale residential area between bridges 239 and 242.
