(Tackley Area to Oxford)
After four days of intense sunshine, day five started out with rain. We appreciated the cloud cover and even the rain was a welcome change. This required a plastic baggie for the canal guide book and a bit more care when getting on and off the boat. The distance remaining to Oxford was very short, so we planned on arriving by early afternoon.
